Third release on Speedy Wunderground, set for release in July

Having previously had Steve Mason, EmilĂ­ana Torrini and TOY and the Archie Bronson Outfit in the studio to cut a track in one day, London producer Dan Carey has today made public the third release from his Speedy Wunderground imprint, out July 1. TOY are back, and are this time joined by Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan for ‘The Bride’, a recording of ‘Aroos Khanom’ by Iranian singer Amir Rassaie. The frenetic focus of TOY’s previous SW track ‘I Go Out’ is still present, but this time it’s re-directed into a disorienting psych cut, with Khan delivering a more immediate, raw vocal turn than on recent releases, forging something that, brilliantly, doesn’t really sound like either of them:
