Barbican To Launch Socially Distanced Concert Series

Shabaka Hutchings, Richard Dawson and more will play the London venue

London’s Barbican has unveiled its autumn programme, including a socially distanced concert series that will also be streamed live online.

The run of shows, taking place under the Live From The Barbican banner, will take in performances from Shabaka Hutchings, Richard Dawson, Nubya Garcia, Erland Cooper and more.

While tickets will be sold for each show, with the series running from next month until December, the Barbican will also offer a live-stream for each performance on a pay-to-view basis. Footage from each show will be available to view and rewatch for 48 hours after each concert begins.

In addition to Live From The Barbican, the venue has also revealed that Jarvis Cocker’s new band, JARV IS…, will perform a set within the Michael Clark: Cosmic Dancer exhibition, which runs from October 7, 2020 to January 3, 2021.
