London’s hardest rocking noise band Bad Guys are unfortunately calling it quits. After two LPs on Riot Season, a couple of amazing music videos and numerous tours of Europe and Canada under their belt the group have decided to pursue new musical projects.
Their last show will be at a sold out Moth club in Hackney hosted by Baba Yaga’s Hut on February 4th, supported by their good friends Gum Takes Tooth, Luminous Bodies, Henge and Casual Nun. The band will also be debuting their final recordings on that day with a cassette release entitled No More Mr Bad Guy available for sale via Hominid Sounds at the show.
To celebrate this release Bad Guys have a new video for the track ‘Ekranoplan’ an ode to the Russian military’s low flying seaplane. Guitarist PJ Mountford explains further: “Here you go friends, the last Bad Guys video, if you think it’s not up to the usual high standard you expect from us with flowing narratives, stunning Visual FX and questionable acting that’s because Stuart (vocals) quit the band halfway through making it so I thought, fuck this, I’m not spending ages making a video for a band that’s splitting up! I’ll just get all the footage I have of Ekranoplans and the last four years touring and mash it together into one of those document-of-a-dying-band type tear-jerkers that will make you all feel sad you didn’t appreciate us more when we were together!
"This seems to be happening already as our final show at the Moth club just sold out. First and last sell out show. Typical. Big thanks to Gum Takes Tooth, Luminous Bodies, Henge and Casual Nun for playing, Anthony at Baba Yaga’s Hut for organising it and everyone who bought a ticket.”
