Zambian-Canadian rapper Backxwash is set to release a new album, titled Only Dust Remains.
Exploring themes of mourning, reflection and hope, the new record arrives off the back of the artist’s trilogy of albums that took in 2020’s Polaris Music Prize-winning God Has Nothing To Do With This Leave Him Out Of It, 2021’s I Lie Here Buried With My Rings And Dresses and 2022’s His Happiness Shall Come First Even Though We Are Suffering.
The album features previously released single ‘Wake Up’, which you can listen to below. Another single from the record will also be unveiled late next month.
Ugly Hag will release Only Dust Remains on March 28, 2025.
