Baba Yaga’s Hut Plan Big Summer Boat Bash

Part Chimp and more will play the London do later this month

Our friends at Baba Yaga’s Hut have a big all-dayer gig coming up later this month.

Headlined by yesterday’s stars of the Strange World Of…, Part Chimp, it takes place at the No90 venue in London’s Hackney Wick, and will feature music spread across the space’s floating and indoor venues. Also on the bill are all a heap of tQ favourites, including Michael, Rainbow Grave, Barbican Estate, Spirit Data, Sly & The Family Drone, Moist Crevice, Haress and Dawn Terry.

Anthony Chalmers of Baba Yaga’s Hut said: “I had for years wanted to do something at No90 in Hackney Wick that took in their two excellent live rooms but also included the boat on the canal out the back. It had been a while since we stopped doing [annual festival] Raw Power and I thought maybe this could be the time to do it. I had decided that I would only do this if the greatest band in the land Part Chimp were in and when they said yes. I was delighted to get it going!”

There will be exclusive merch on sale at the event, and a late night programme of heavy electronic music after the bands finish, with Gum Takes Tooth’s 2Rana3Crana, Proteus & Wayne Adams making the racket. Teeth Of The Sea will be DJing between acts during the day.

You can listen to a playlist of artists playing on Spotify here, and buy tickets here.
