aya has shared details of her debut album, im hole.
Due out on Hyperdub in October, the 11-track album sees the DJ and producer making prominent use of her own vocals, while Manchester artist Iceboy Violet also features on one track. In addition to a full digital release of the album, Hyperdub will put out a hardback clothbound book of lyrics, poems and photographs connected to the record, designed in collaboration with Oliver Van Der Lugt, AKA Air Max ’97. im hole follows on from recent releases with Local Action, as well as a series of self-released compilations of edits and demos, and a number of EPs under aya’s former LOFT moniker, released through labels such as Tri Angle and Wisdom Teeth.
