Autechre have announced a number of new tour dates, covering shows in North America and the UK later this year.
The run of shows kicks off at Gothic Theatre in Denver, Colorado on October 1, before making stops in Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Austin, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, New York and a number of other cities. There will be 19 dates in all in North America across October, with the final one happening 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on October 28. These will be the UK duo’s first live shows on the continent for a decade.
The following month, they will return to the UK, kicking off at Glasgow’s SWG3 on November 2. Further shows are scheduled to take place in Newcastle, Leeds, Brighton, Bristol and Belfast over the course of a week-long run, and their announcement follows on from a gig that the duo played at Manchester’s New Century earlier this month.
Mark Broom will support the pair on all of their North America and UK dates through October and November. Tickets for all newly announced dates go on general sale this Friday (February 28). Find more information here.
Autechre will also play a number of already announced shows in Europe through August, with a run that will take them to Amsterdam, Helsinki, Warsaw, Berlin and Reykjavik. More gigs are set to be announced soon, according to the duo’s label, Warp Records.
In December, the pair shared four one-hour mixes for BBC Radio 6 Music in their role as the station’s Artist In Residence.
