audiobooks, the project of vocalist and artist Evangeline Ling and multi-instrumentalist and producer David Wrench, have announced a new EP, titled Gulliver.
Out in April, the EP features last year’s ‘Tryna Tryna Take Control’ (among tQ’s favourite tracks of 2022) as well as new single ‘Burnt Pictures’, for which you can watch a video above. The visual was directed by Wrench’s eldest son Louis and features his youngest child Auberon. The song itself features a guest appearance from Manchester rapper OneDa.
Speaking about the track, the duo said: "’Burnt Pictures’ is unlike anything we’ve written before. When we toured for [2021 LP] Astro Tough we took along the brilliant OneDa to open for some of the shows. We were playing ‘Burnt Pictures’ as part of the set to try and explore different structures, and we invited up OneDa to freestyle with us, and it was exactly what the track was missing."
Heavenly will release Gulliver on April 12, 2023.
