Arts Council England Reveals £18 Million Fund For Artists

DJs, performers and other creatives are also eligible for the Developing Your Creative Practice fund

Arts Council England has launched the first round of applications for its new Developing Your Creative Practice project, which is aimed at artists, DJs, performers and other creatives.

The £18 million fund has been formed from National Lottery donations with the money to be shared across four rounds of funding between October 2020 and 2021. Successful applicants will receive between £2,000 and £10,000 each from the fund.

Graeme Calvert, senior officer at Arts Council England, says that grants will be given out "for activities that help you develop as a creative practitioner." These activities might include creating new work, collaborating with others or travelling to explore solo and collaborative projects.

Arts Council England’s website states that the fund is open to "arts and cultural educators, community practitioners/engagement specialists, movement directors, cultural conservators, creative enablers and creative technicians," in addition to musicians.

The first round of applications opened on October 15 and will close on November 5. You can apply here.
