An artist noted for painting grime MCs and landed gentry from the 1700s is to have his work exhibited at Tate Britain this Friday (December 4) as part of their Late at Tate event.
As Noisey reports, Reuben Dangoor turned the idea into a series called ‘Legends of the Scene’, sharing the images on his website as well as Twitter and Instagram. Among the paintings were Skepta saddled up on a white horse, Union Jack-clad flagpole in hand, which you can see above, and Stormzy kicking back in a country manor.
