Arctic Monkeys’ Third Nears Completion

Album almost done

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has told the Guardian that the Sheffield quartet’s third album is almost done.

The band have been recording with Josh Homme at his Joshua Tree studio, with Helders saying that final UK-based sessions could be done before December comes along.

"We’re gonna do a bit more recording [in November] and then we’ll probably be in [our rehearsal space] for most of December getting ready to go out again," he said.

"We made a start a few weeks ago and we’re gonna go back and try and finish it off. That’ll be two blocks of two weeks. It’s probably do-able for us to finish it in this next block. But we don’t want to put pressure on by saying, ‘we’ve got to finish it this time’."
