UPDATE: Arcade Fire have surprised release a new single called ‘Everything Now’. It is currently only available on vinyl via the merchandise stall at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
Speculation is mounting that Arcade Fire will release a new single this week following a number of clues posted to social media, as well as a selection of posters appearing in London.
Tweeting earlier today, the band shared an infinity symbol attached to a copyright symbol that resembled the band logo they have been using since earlier this year. Attached to the image was a message reading "Stay tuned for Infinite Content". As Pitchfork points out, "infinite content" is a term Win Butler also used during his RBMA lecture late last year.
A fansite has also shared a video teaser that they say is connected to the band, featuring a logo containing the word "NOW" and a globe emblazoned with "EN". Posters with that same "NOW" logo have also popped up around London, leading to speculation that a new single called ‘Everything Now’ could be released as soon as tomorrow (June 1). Merchandise featuring various similar logos has also appeared at Primavera Sound in Barcelona where the band will headline this weekend.
