Norwegian noise duo and long-term Quietus favourites Årabrot have posted a 36-second long video on their label Fysisk Format’s website, accompanied by the message "Something’s boiling in the ARABROT kettle! More info soon… European Tour with Rabbits in May".
The video includes footage of a wolf in a nightgown staggering across a moor while holding a torch before cutting to a shot of dimly-lit room with the sound of, well, small ghosts screaming, leaving us in eager anticipation of the follow-up to 2011’s Solar Anus album.
Quietus editor John Doran recently heard two tracks in progress from the new album at their producer Emil Nikolaisen’s Malabar Studios in Oslo and reported back that it sounds like it could be the best Årabrot album yet, with the band promising to return to these shores twice this year.
Stay tuned for more.
