WIN: Arabrot Film Premiere & Live Show Tickets

New documentary on Arabot gets British premiere as part of Doc'n Roll Film Festival, with live show at 100 Club next Wednesday

Next Wednesday (November 8) sees the UK premiere screening of the award-winning Arabrot documentary Cocks And Crosses: The Music That Would Not Die at London’s 100 Club, taking place as part of the Doc’n Roll Film Festival.

The film, shot and directed by Norwegian André Løyning, focuses on a very specific point in the history of the underground rock band, in which singer/ guitarist/ songwriter Kjetil Nernes found out he had a rare and aggressive form of cancer and what he did immediately after his diagnosis. (He went on tour with his band.)

The film also deals with his recovery and the recording of tQ’s album of 2016, The Gospel and features walk on parts from the likes of Steve Albini and Stephen O’Malley.

On the night there will be a Q and A with Kjetil and his partner, the Swedish musician and Arabrot member Karin Park hosted by this website.

To round off the night there will be a short live performance by Arabrot Speciale (featuring Andrew Liles of Nurse With Wound/Current 93 and John Doran of Self-Help alongside Kjetil and Karin).

You can buy tickets to the festival from the Doc’n Roll website BUT not so fast!

We have four pairs of tickets for the premiere to give away. If you would like to win one simply answer the following multiple choice question correctly, and send the answer to comps@thequietus.com with the subject heading ‘Arabrot’. The competition closes on Friday (November 3).
