Arab Strap are back with new music, their first in 15 years.
The duo have today released a song called ‘The Turning Of Our Bones’ for streaming and download. Aidan Moffat describes the track as "an incantation, a voodoo spell to raise the dead," adding that it’s "inspired by the Famadihana ritual of the Malagasy people of Madagascar, in which they dance with the corpses of loved ones." ‘The Turning Of Our Bones’ will be additionally released on 7" vinyl on October 23, alongside another new song called ‘The Jumper’, which will be exclusive to the vinyl edition. A press release suggests that this is the first of more material to come from Arab Strap, who briefly reunited for a number of anniversary shows in 2016. "They’re back from the grave and ready to rave," reads the press release announcing the new record.
Rock Action will release The Turning Of Our Bones / The Jumper on 7" vinyl on October 23, 2020.
