Aphex Twin has shared the Weirdcore-directed video for ‘T69 Collapse’, taken from his forthcoming EP Collapse, out via Warp on September 14.
The video, which you can watch above, was due to premiere on Adult Swim, but was pulled at the last minute after failing a photosensitive epilepsy test.
It features heavily distorted computer generated images and photos including circuitboards, the structure in the centre of the Elephant and Castle roundabout in which he was rumoured to live, the cover of his 1996 Richard D. James Album and more locations.
The EP announcement followed mounting speculation that new material was on the way after Aphex Twin 3D renderings began to appear in London and Turin.
No UK shows have yet been confirmed for this year, but Aphex Twin will play Berlin’s Funkhaus on November 1 as well as Club To Club festival in Turin that same month.
