LISTEN: New Aphex Twin

The track features vocals from Richard D. James' son

Aphex Twin has shared a new track called ‘korg funk 5’ as part of his collaboration with Korg on their new Monologue instrument, which has seen him contribute presets to the instrument. You can hear the track above.

The track features vocals from Richard D. James’ son and was shared online today alongside a lengthy interview between James and former Korg engineer and current advisor to the company Tatsuya Takahashi which you can read here. They discuss their collaboration, microtuning and more over the course of the conversation.

The track itself was created using the new Korg Monologue synthesiser, while its release concludes the countdown that has been present on Aphex Twin’s website since shortly after he played London’s Field Day early last month.
