Aphex Twin Announces AFX EP

Richard D. James' first work as AFX in a decade announced; stream a track from the new EP below

It’s been a busy period for Richard D. James, with Syro, the first full Aphex Twin LP since 2001 out last year, and Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 released in January. Now James is reinstating another of his aliases for an upcoming EP.

The last time the world heard from AFX was back in 2005 with the release of the Analord series, and for the first time in over a decade the alter-ego that brought you the Analogue Bubblebath and Smojphace EPs brings you an all new extended play – Orphaned DJ Selek (2006-2008) which is out August 21. You can hear a track from it called ‘Serge Fenix Rendered 2’ above. The EP will be release on 12", CD and of course digitally.
