Anna Meredith has confirmed details of her second artist album, FIBS.
The process of working on the album, a press release explains, saw Meredith "chuck out her old MIDI patches" to pair her voice "with brand-new instruments, both acoustic and electronic". Fibs, Meredith says, are "lies – but nice friendly lies, little stories and constructions and daydreams and narratives that you make for yourself or you tell yourself".
The album follows on from the soundtrack she released for the film Eighth Grade earlier this year which featured in our recent round-up of the best albums of the year so far.
