Animal Collective Don’t Want Album Leaked Shocker

Band blame email on hackers

This morning The Quietus reported that we’d been the recipients of an email in which it seemed that Animal Collective were so narked that two tracks off their forthcoming album Merriweather Post Pavilion had leaked, they wanted the whole thing to find its way out into the big wide world.

The Quietus is not easily phished in, and though our crack team of web geeks couldn’t find anything wrong with the email per se, we replied to the email to check it was bona-fide.

To which the unsurprising answer came just a few minutes ago: "hey luke, thanks for checking in. our email was indeed hacked. we are not calling for our album to be leaked. thanks, brian, ac"

So there you have it. If you see the great dyke of the internet beginning to squirt little bits of Animal Collective digital matter, stick your finger in it. In the meantime, Read a track-by-track review of Merriweather Post Pavilion
