Andrew Weatherall is responsible for this week’s edition of the Resident Advisor podcast series crafting a mix of classy and, at times, acid-indebted house music that comes in at just over the hour mark. You can give it a listen here.
Speaking to RA to accompany the mix, he says that “the idea [behind the mix] was to sequence some records together without the joins being too apparent.” It was recorded “at the R.G.C. research facility somewhere in London’s increasingly tedious Shoreditch, using one of the world’s last surviving CD burners. He also shares some details on his new subscription-only record label, Moine Dubh. Weatherall plays b2b with Daniel Avery at Field Day in Victoria Park this Saturday in the Resident Advisor tent. He also plays alongside Grumbling Fur, Perc and Phil Kieran in Belfast as part of FUSED Electronica Weekender, which takes place June 11-13. More details for that can be found here.
