Andrew Weatherall Festival Announced

The DJ and producer hand-picks a bill for a two-day festival taking place in a castle in France. And there's a sentence with nothing but sparkling constituent elements

The second Andrew Weatherall Festival has been announced, taking place at Le Chateau Comtal, Carcassonne from September 26-27. It follows last year’s inaugural celebration of the peerlessly dapper producer and selector, and sees plenty of action from the man himself, in the form of Andrew Weatherall’s Music’s Not For Everyone, A Love From Outer Space, with Sean Johnston, and The Asphodells, with Timothy J. Fairplay. Also on the bill are The Limiñanas, Scott Fraser and Khidja, all chosen by Mr Weatherall.

Well, that’s all very well and all, but I’ll bet they haven’t bothered with any specially selected wines and local produce, have they? Think again, ye of little faith! This festival comes with a sommelier, Olivier Zavattin, and a Michelin star chef, Jerome Ryon, to boot. Crivens. Both day and weekend tickets are available, £17.50 and £35 respectively; head to the festival’s website for full details.
