We here at tQHQ were elated to hear about the imminent release of AnD’s debut album Cosmic Microwave Background on Electric Deluxe next month. So it’s with glad and battered ears that they’ve provide a glimmer of what to expect with a new 12", Dark Matter, to precede the album’s release, out next Monday, September 29. ‘Cosmic Strings’ is a dead-eyed, acid-flecked 4/4 techno banger, while ‘Photon Visibility Function’ starts off with the hint of a similarly pummelling rhythmic assault taking place in the far distance before, lo and behold, the depth charge kicks land. Play it above, and buy from the label’s website upon release, while those going to the Amsterdam Dance Event will be able to catch the band on October 20, the date of Cosmic…‘s release.
