Anastasia Kristensen Returns To Houndstooth With ‘Volshebno’ EP

The three-track release follows on from the Russian producer's debut on fabric's in-house label in 2019

Anastasia Kristensen is returning to Houndstooth for her first full EP since 2019.

Volshebno, which takes its name from the Russian word for ‘magical’, takes in three tracks. It follows on from Kristensen’s debut with Houndstooth, M A X I M A, and an EP released earlier in 2019 via Warp Records sub-label Arcola. Speaking about the EP’s title, Kristensen says: "It’s that feeling inside when you know something special is happening, the feeling you get when you have a brilliant idea or a crush on someone."

Ahead of the EP’s release, Houndstooth has shared ‘Volshebno (Stretched)’, a jungle interpretation of the titular track. Kristensen describes the track as having "rich synths and an atmosphere, which is all about this magical moment when you have realised something new and exciting has just happened." You can listen to it above.

Houndstooth will release Volshebno on September 10, 2021.
