Ample Play Records have got a host of ace records slated for release in the near future, and we’ve got a natty three-track sampler to give you a taste.
First up is Cian Ciaran of Super Furry Animals, who’s taking advantage of the band’s hiatus to release a new LP and, ahead of that, an EP, both out on Ample Play. They Are Nothing Without Us hits shelves on September 23, predicated around "uncompromising anti-greed, anti-corruption and anti-establishment messages", and he’ll be preceding it with the Sewn Up EP, out on September 9, which acts as a primer, featuring two tracks from the album, as well as two new cuts – listen to its title track below.
Second, fresh out of a stint recording with Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe, there’s The KVB, who have taken their psych-hued post-punk and doused it in cavernous reverb for new single, ‘Run Away’, included here, out on September 30.
Finally are Welsh four-piece The Bluebottle Veins, purveyors of astutely self-described "blues rock with a jaunty little hat on", whose EP Raindrop Blues Ample Play are putting out on October 14 – here’s the title track.
