Ambient Charity Compilation Series Launched

The series aims to support nonprofits like The Trevor Project and the Natural Resources Defense Council

A new series of charity ambient compilations has been launched by the Unseen Music label, ran by producer Helios.

He will oversee the curation of the series, entitled Disquiet, which will take in music from Ryuichi Sakamoto, Julianna Barwick, Mary Lattimore, Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm, Loscil and more in subsequent editions.

The series will feature almost all exclusive and unreleased material with three volumes planned for now. 100% of profits from the series will be donated to nonprofit organisations supporting "the environment, investigative journalism, women and minorities". These include The Trevor Project, the National Network for Immigrant And Refugee Rights, ProPublica and the Natural Resources Defense Council.

The first volume, due out next Friday (February 17), will feature music from Synkro, Eluvium, Benoît Pioulard and Helios himself among others. Find out more about the project here and listen to a sampler of the first volume above.
