Algiers Detail New Album, ‘There Is No Year’

The new record is preceded by lead track 'Dispossession'

Algiers have announced details of their third album, There Is No Year.

Leading the new album is the single ‘Dispossession’ which you can listen to above. "The spectre of dispossession is haunting us all," said the band’s Ryan Mahan in a statement about the themes explored on the track. "Everywhere the imperial world represses the ghoulish histories that sustain our pasts, presents and futures."

The album’s announcement follows in the wake of ‘Can the Sub Bass Speak?’, an online audiovisual installation piece that the band launched earlier this year.

There Is No Year is due out via Matador on January 17, 2020.
