Alexander Tucker Releases Comic, ‘Entity Reunion 2’

It's the first instalment in an ongoing series of non-linear comic narratives from the Grumbling Fur member

Musician Alexander Tucker has released the first volume of a new comic series to mark the latest fee-waive day from Bandcamp.

Out today (October 2), Entity Reunion 2 is available in an edition of 150 copies, and formed of 28 pages. It’s described as the first instalment of "an ongoing series of non-linear comic narratives" and is published via Tucker’s own UNDIMENSIONED imprint.

"Combining magic realism, dream logic and classic comic tropes, Tucker attempts to peel back the layers of graphic storytelling using improvisation, cut up texts and graphic techniques," a press release explains of the Grumbling Fur member’s comic. He began work on the comic in March of this year as the UK went into COVID-19 lockdown, as he felt unable to focus on music projects at that time.

"As with my music I like to develop material and then take it through a process of layering and building up spaces whilst at the same time deconstructing established ways of structure and storytelling, to then rebuild from that position," Tucker explains.

Tucker has previously published comics with UK based underground publishers Breakdown Press, and will follow Entity Reunion 2 with another comic, World In The Forcefield, next year.
