We here at the tQ office love us some dance music. One could even consider us dance music lovers. Ever aware of our reputation, the San Fransisco producer Al Lover has reached all the way across the Atlantic to share with us his latest track, the hypnotic and propulsive-as-always "Labratory Broadcast In Stereo." Have yourself a listen above.
Don’t be fooled by the song’s brief two-minute length; there’s definitely a whiff of the kraut here if you’ve got the nose for it, especially evident in the beat and those low-in-the-mix vintage synth washes that seem to stretch out for miles in every direction. In short, it’s everything you’d expect from an electronic artist who just last October released a full-length titled Sacred Drugs. "Labratory" arrives in advance of Cave Ritual Redux, due out August 10 on Stolen Body Records. Look for Lover this July when he embarks on an extensive UK/Europe tour. Check below for the dates.
