Aksak Maboul have announced details of their first new album in 40 years.
Titled Figures, the 22-track double album is set to be released through Crammed Discs, the label set up by Aksak Maboul founding member Marc Hollander in 1981. Above, you can watch a video for lead track ‘Tout a une fin’, which features vocals from co-producer Véronique Vincent.
The group originally released two albums in 1977 and 1980 before Hollander went on to found Crammed Discs. The second of those two records, Un Peu De L’Ame Des Bandits, was reissued through the label in 2017 and brought the group new attention from younger audiences.
Crammed Discs will release Figures on May 15. You can read tQ’s 2018 interview with Marc Hollander here.
