AIM Awards 2014: Nominees Announced

tQ's John Doran, East India Youth, FKA twigs and more shortlisted

Yesterday, the AIM Independent Music Awards revealed their nominations for this year’s awards. Among those nominated are tQ favourites including East India Youth, FKA twigs, Liars, Cabaret Voltaire, Actress, Gruff Rhys, Mogwai and labels Hyperdub, Ninja Tune and Sonic Cathedral among many others. Also, congratulations to tQ editor John Doran, who has been nominated for the Indie Champion award, alongside Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker, BBC 6 Music’s Camilla Pia, Merlin’s Charles Caldas and Tim Palmer and Clemence Godard of Bird On The Wire. (Note: fellow tQ ed Luke Turner, who is on the judging panel, was not involved with the shortlisting of this category).
