AIM Awards Announce 2012 Nominees

Enter Shikari, Alabama Shakes, Frank Turner and Madness lead the list

The shortlist for the second Association of Independent Music (AIM) awards has been announced today.

Enter Shikari lead the list with three nominations for Best Live Act, Hardest Working Band and Independent Album of the Year, followed by Alabama Shakes, Frank Turner and Madness who have two nominations apiece.

As we previously reported, the trade body already announced Edwyn Collins as the winner of the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award and Mute’s Daniel Miller as taking home the Pioneer Award, the latter put forward by the Quietus’ Luke Turner, on the judges’ panel.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 29.
