Warp and BBC 6 Music’s Gilles Peterson and Steve Lamacq, were among the winners at last night’s AIM Independent Music Awards.
Warp, whose output this year has included releases from Boards Of Canada, Broadcast and Autechre, took home the Independent Label of the Year award, while Peterson and Lamacq were given the Indie Champion Award and Special Recognition Awards respectively. Kent two-dayer In The Woods took the Golden Welly Award for best independent festival, while Oxford imprint Alcopop! Records were awarded Best Small Label.
