A Dead Forest Index have released a stark, minimal video for their song ‘Cast Of Lines’, from an EP of the same name due out on June 2, their first release on Jehnny Beth and Johnny Hostile’s label Pop Noire. The video was directed by Martin Masai and Danish photographer Kim Thue – take a look above.
The track itself features a sparse arrangement of strummed guitar and breathy vocals, building intensity as extra vocal harmonies are brought in. Talking to us about the band, which comprises Adam and Sam Sherry, Beth described them as "a sort of dark folk with a beautiful voice, androgynous and strange". Catch the band at their EP launch at the Waiting Room in Stoke Newington on June 5, where they’ll be supported by Beth playing a DJ set and some as-yet-unannounced special guests, and head to Pop Noire’s site to pre-order the EP.
