I knew Ry Cooder’s stuff, and I knew of Ali Farka TourĂ©. I love ‘world music’, and I particularly love African and Moroccan-inspired music. It’s my kind of go-to Sunday morning record. It calms me down. There’s just something really magical about it. It was also the opening music for my first ever solo gig.
