Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

10.

System Of A Down – Toxicity

I really admire this band. They have so much balls. They clearly don’t give a fuck what people think about them. Especially coming out of the late 90s LA scene. To come out of that and make a record that’s got so many amazing riffs but also has this really theatrical side to it as well… I just think it’s really brave. They’re all just amazing musicians as well. They just made it feel really natural and effortless. None of it feels contrived.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
