Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

11. Vampire WeekendVampire Weekend

They’re brilliant and their ‘Harmony Hall’ is a huge family favourite, a really big part of our lives, but this was the first time everybody got introduced to them. They’re brilliant songwriters and it reminds me of a brilliant holiday me and Richard had with Sonny when it was just the three of us, all idyllic and Italian sunshine. I ended up using one of the songs from that album as part of my playlist when I had my second baby Kit, who was born to ‘Blake’s Got a New Face’. I told Vampire Weekend that, I presented them with an award at the Q Awards and told them really excitedly, but I now think that’s one of those facts people don’t really know how to respond to!
