I think it’s really beautiful, and I love the fact it’s such an expansive landscape of a record. This is 2008, and I’d just made my most dance music album yet – Trip The Light Fantastic – and I was beginning to think there was a disparity between the music I was making and what I was listening to at home. So, I wanted to make a record which said more about my life now. I wanted to acknowledge that and do something that’s more personal and different, but it’s all a process and you can’t do one without the other.
