Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

9. Lana Del RayBorn to Die

It’s one of my favourite albums of the moment, I’m playing it all the time. There’s not a bad track on it, there’s not one that I skip. Lana Del Rey’s voice is just so versatile. She sounds like so many different people, which I find quite amazing. And she’s new, fresh, I think she’s going to be big that girl.

My favourite track on the album is ‘Born To Die’ and the single she’s got out now, with the kids singing the chorus – ‘National Anthem’. It reminds me of ‘Toy Soldiers’ by Martika.
