The combination of this tune, an impressionable mind, psychoactive drugs and a very big system was instrumental in forming my beliefs about the spiritual and transformative possibilities of music and bass, before I properly discovered dub. It felt like the beginning of Stapledon’s Star Maker, like being catapulted at light speed into space. I’m still suffering the disappointment of having to return. Full Cycle, The End, very good times. It’s so simple but it just felt so incredibly futuristic at the time. It still does today but I guess that’s slightly to do with reminiscing about that period.
