11. Philip GlassMusic In Twelve Parts – Parts 1 & 2
When I started to hear it, I was very interested intellectually but also moved by so called repetitive, minimalist things like Steve Reich. For me, though, the best was Philip Glass. I started with Music In Twelve Parts and I saw Einstein On The Beach, the original production, five hours long, with electric instruments and a dancing part. I went to see it two or three times. When I love something, like a piece of music, I can’t hear it just one time, and then wait to hear it another time. I have to hear it 20 or 30 times. Because of this, I can only get properly into so many different things, because it takes a lot of time.
