Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

I didn’t know about King Creosote, but I’m a big Jon Hopkins fan, and that’s how I learned about this record. Jon is also a friend of mine. He’s someone who I’ve dreamt about collaborating with. I hear this started out because he was producing the King Creosote record, but he did so much on it that in the end they had to release it under both their names. It’s a wonderful record. It’s a really cool contrast between electronic and folk music. ‘Your Own Spell’, the second last track, is my standout.
