4. The Birthday PartyJunkyard

I saw these guys in Dallas at the Hot Klub on the night before Easter 1983. If you’re familiar with the Birthday Party you can easily imagine how exciting that was. At that time, the band was not very well known in the US and hence the crowd at the Hot Klub was about 30 or 40 patrons. They opened with ‘Big Jesus Trash Can’! American heads rolled in Texas!
