Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

5.

I spend an awful lot of time on message boards, sharing references and discussing them. This is how I met Guillaume, with whom I’m running the label, and Amédée who does all these projects we are releasing on In Paradisum (Somaticae, Insiden, Roger West). And that’s how I also discovered this record. I love the daring structure. These were the first experimental modular tracks I was exposed to – back then I knew nothing about it. The record starts cold, then mid-time piano, guitar, organs are kicking in, in this style which resonated with Glass, Reich or Raymond Scott. To me, these are very bright, warm songs.
