Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

12. Floating PointsElaenia

A very mature piece of work – and that’s not damning with faint praise. A great deal of time has been spent making decisions here. It feels as if it is playing with electronic music languages in a very smart way. There’s a lot of analogue on it but it’s not an antique. It feels quite warm, using the right elements at the right time. It’s not self-regarding in the least – just very thoughtful and so well put together.
