12. T.A.G.C.Meontological Research Recording – Record 1
For me this is a bit of a neglected classic, and I urge everyone to listen to it. The Anti Group was a sister project to the more widely known Clock DVA. The early Anti Group records followed a similar format to DVA, but at some point the group sort of turned into a research project of sorts, publishing white papers, films and so on. Meontology, according to the group, is the science of non-being. The recordings present on the album consist mainly of layered synthetic tonalities that weave in and out of one another. Their second album sounds very much like Ryoji Ikeda’s early works, including +/-, and form a very interesting bridge between the early industrial practices and the later "post techno" unusual electronics.
