Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

9. Brian Eno and Harold BuddAmbient 2: The Plateux Of Mirror

I got into Harold Budd last year on tour, and I’ll never go back. I love pretty much everything I’ve heard of this collaboration, I find it very medicinal. Randall Dunn recorded my last two records and he introduced me to a bunch of musicians, who introduced me to a bunch of cool music. I needed new music, I’d been stuck in a rut, and Harold Budd really opened me up. This was one that I was very excited by, I just thought it was so beautiful.
