6. Yanis VaroufakisTalking To My Daughter About The Economy

I didn’t know anything about the economy and I thought I should read about it. This book has close ties with The Age of Surveillance Capitalism, some people refer to Shoshana Zuboff as the Karl Marx of our generation. Both books touch on similar subjects: they explain what economy is, how the industrial revolution happened, and how we’re going through another revolution now that is digital. He truly did write it for his daughter, so it’s very accessible. It was another book that was in our living room. I’m a reader, so I just pick up books.

Your living room sounds like an amazing place.

Yeah, it is. Really, really nice. I like to be there. I sleep in my living room. I sleep on the couch more than in my own bed, with my cat. Close to books.
