They were a Swedish band, I saw them when they came over to New York in 1988 when they played at CBGBs. This is the album The Stooges never made. ‘Ring My Bell’, one of their songs… God. They have the closest sound to The Stooges of any of the millions of bands trying to sound like them. I don’t know how the Swedes get that guitar sound. It’s just horny teenage rampage makes-me-wanna-break-things… kinda like Monster Magnet. They were playing from the same songbook as Monster Magnet around Powertrip. I play that stuff and I’m 12 years old again, breaking shit.
