Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

8.

Beach Boys – Pet Sounds
When we first started the band and were touring, that was one album we’d listen to all the time. I just remember having these long conversations about how awesome it is, “Everytime I put it on there’s something new”… The typical cliche of an indie band driving around the States in the middle of the 90s listening to Pet Sounds going “Oh isn’t this awesome? We should have trumpets on our next record.” And that’s exactly what everyone else was doing.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Lord Spikeheart, Tom Ravenscroft
